‘El wine that I drink has taste of mar’ of Joan Bennàssar

The General Director of Culture and Youth, Isabel Cerdà, the director of the Institute|High School of Balearic Studies, Cristòfol Vidal, and the artist Joan Bennàssar they have shown|presented the exhibition|exposure 'The wine that I drink has taste of sea', organized for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities with the collaboration of Him Museum Bastion of Art Modern and Contemporary of Palma.

The sample|exhibition, that he|she|it will expose to Him Bastion of the 16 June until the 30 September, he|she|it remits us to the translation in images of a length journey where «the art is an origin of the knowledge; the wine, stimulus and source|fountain of inspiration», through the personal vision of the artist Joan Bennàssar (Pollença, 1950). Painter and sculptor of recognized prestige since the decade of the eighties, Joan Bennàssar develops its|his|her|their artistic trajectory about the experimentation with the figurative and abstract languages and brings up subjects and concepts of universal character (the portrait, the bodegó, the erotism, the music...). Its|His|Her|Their work, full of references autobiographical but also poetic and literary, complements eròtica(2007) and Joan Bennàssar (2008) with the edition of the Mallorca books. 

The exhibition|exposure, organized by that of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities of the Government of the Balearic Islands with the collaboration of Him Museum Bastion of Art Modern and Contemporary of Palma, it|he|she appears as a result of the publication of the book edited with the same title, in which the artist presents a selection of paintings and work about paper|role of recent creation, dedicated to the history|story of the wine in the Mediterranean, with special attention in the Balearic Islands.
